Viva Chefs is a platform that connects experienced chefs with families looking for high quality meals prepared in their homes. We work with talented chefs who enjoy cooking independently, interacting with clients, and creating customized menus based on each household’s preferences.
We are currently looking for professional chefs in the San Francisco Bay Area who have strong culinary fundamentals and are comfortable working directly in a client’s home environment. This role is ideal for chefs with restaurant experience who are looking to supplement their income with flexible personal chef work.
Responsibilities
• Prepare meals in clients’ homes according to their dietary preferences and requirements
• Plan menus in collaboration with clients, tailoring dishes to their tastes and dietary needs
• Shop for groceries as needed and manage ingredients for each cooking session
• Handle the full cooking process from preparation to plating and storage of meals
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen during and after each cooking session
• Provide a friendly and professional experience for clients during each visit
Requirements
• At least 3 years of professional kitchen experience (restaurant, catering, or similar)
• Experience as a personal chef or private chef is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work independently in a client’s home
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable interacting with clients
• Flexible availability for weekly or occasional bookings

About the Role As Facility Manager, you will own the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our production facility and equipment, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations. What You'll Own

Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of all facility equipment and systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facility infrastructure
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs and facility improvements
Ensure the facility meets all regulatory and safety requirements including health, fire, and building codes
Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency, reduce costs, and extend equipment lifespan
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment service history, and facility inspections
What We're Looking For

Experience in facility management or maintenance in a food production or food manufacturing environment is required
General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems commonly found in food facilities
Familiarity with food facility sanitation standards and regulatory compliance
HACCP and/or quality assurance experience is a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with a small, collaborative team
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Moderate computer literacy
Availability

Monday through Friday, with willingness to assist outside normal hours in the event of emergencies
